Capital City Cinco de Mayo Spring Fling

About this tournament
Join us at the Carson Ridge Disc Golf Park for a fun tournament style round of Cinco de Mayo Disc Golf. Rain or Shine, the round will include both the Pony Express and Stadium Courses for a total of 27 holes. The Stadium course will be set up in a shorter, novice layout to ensure fun for all ages and abilities! The tournament round will also include never before played pin locations on the Stadium course.
This event is perfect for everyone from expert level to novice. It is strongly advised to have played the Stadium course before registering to understand the physical demands and sun exposure of Carson Ridge. Hydration stations will be available on the course. Please plan on ~4-hour round.
The Spring Fling will offer four divisions: General, Women, Senior (50+) and Junior (<15 & must have a guardian present). Top finishers in each division will earn prizes donated from local businesses.
This event is a fundraiser for the Carson City Movers and Doers program whose mission is, "To provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in recreation and leisure programs together and provide the necessary individual accommodation and support so every individual can benefit equally from recreation experiences." To learn more about the Movers & Doers program click the URL at the bottom of the page. Participants of the Movers and Doers program will be on-site assisting with the event.
At the conclusion of play, stick around to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in style. Enjoy food from the King of Kings Taco Truck, grab a drink, enter the 50/50 raffle, play the CTP on Pony Express hole 9 and meet the local Disc Golf Community.
The CTP (Closest to Pin) contest will take place as the round concludes. We will be collecting items for "Food for Thought", a local food bank that provides essential items to children in our community. With the school year ending soon, they need items on the list in our photo section. We will give one free CTP throw for each item donated or 5 throws for a box/ pack of any item on the list.
